Wheels-Alive/BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair Ticket Giveaway

16th April 2024

Free ticket giveaway through Wheels-Alive for this year’s BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, to be held at Beaulieu, Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th May 2024… but if you are interested, ‘be quick’! …says Kim Henson.

STOP PRESS… We have been inundated with requests for these tickets, and thank you to all our readers who have contacted us, but the tickets have now gone. That said, the Spring Fair is a fascinating event and well worth visiting.

Beaulieu is, of course, home to the National Motor Museum and a haven for anyone interested in motoring and motor cars. Indeed many Wheels-Alive readers have visited to enjoy the museum, plus the multitude of other attractions there (including the historic Palace House).

However Beaulieu also hosts shows that are not directly related to vehicles, and in April last year, the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair was held on the site.

This colourful, cheering Spring Fair will be returning to Beaulieu from 3rd to 5th May this year, and is well worth a visit – and we are aware that many Wheels-Alive readers are interested in gardening as well as motor vehicles. The show can provide inspiration and encouragement for would-be gardeners as well as established enthusiasts.

Planned highlights of this year’s show will be:

The Hillier Experience, with a central, woodland-themed show garden

The ‘Get Growing’ stage – an ‘exciting edibles space’ – with special guests

The ‘Have-A-Go’ Workshop Marquee – With daily workshops

An extended programme of Palace House Victorian Kitchen demonstrations

Association of Professional Landscapers’ Landscaping and Design Clinic

Florestry Workshops

Budding Little Gardeners’ Workshops

Well if you would like to visit this year’s event, Wheels-Alive has teamed up with BBC Gardeners’ World and there’s a pair of free tickets on offer for anyone who would like to attend. You will need to be quick though – the tickets will be awarded to the first person who e-mails me through the Wheels-Alive website to claim them, and at the latest by midnight tomorrow, Wednesday 17th April. The successful applicant will be contacted directly (and of course your name and address will be needed).

Tickets include entry to all of Beaulieu’s grounds, gardens and attractions, including the National Motor Museum – always worth a tour or re-visit!

If you would like to get a flavour of what the show is like, here’s my report from last year’s event: https://www.wheels-alive.co.uk/inspiration-galore-at-the-bbc-gardeners-world-spring-fair-2023/

Our well-respected contributors live and breathe motor cars; aren’t we lucky?

Contributors to the site include talented, highly-respected people (so they tell me) on the hallowed membership list of the Guild of Motoring Writers, and from the similarly well thought-of Western Group of Motoring Writers. In addition there are valued contributions from other knowledgeable and capable motoring writers who have something useful to say about all aspects of driving and running vehicles in the 21st Century. All of our team are passionate about motor cars!
