Beaulieu is inviting families to step into a world of folklore, autumnal adventure and Disney and Pixar’s Cars this October half-term, from 24 October to 1 November. Plus, enjoy double the fun with Beaulieu’s ever-popular return for free offer, giving you two days out for the price of one*!
October half-term marks the last chance to see Disney and Pixar’s Cars 20thanniversary display at Beaulieu, before the popular display races off on 1 November. Get up close to life-size models of fan favourites Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm and Finn McMissile, alongside colourful themed props including the iconic Piston Cup, with budding racers able to pose for a photo on the winner’s podium. The display is included in your general admission ticket, making it a must-see pit stop for Disney and Pixar’s Cars fans of all ages.
A brand-new folklore trail arrives in time for October half-term and will take visitors on an autumnal adventure across the attraction, collecting a list of enchanting ingredients along the way. The trail will lead visitors through the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu Abbey, Palace House and its autumnal gardens, with a different herb to collect at each area, before visitors head to the Bothy in the Victorian Vegetable Garden to mix their collected herbs together and create their very own magical potion.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Make sure you stick around to listen to ghost stories in Palace House. Families can discover the spooky tales of this Victorian country home and decide for themselves whether they believe what they hear.
There’s more to uncover inside the National Motor Museum for motoring enthusiasts and families alike! See plenty of motoring history, from the earliest motor carriages to Land Speed Record breakers and Formula One! Don’t forget to explore the newest gallery Driven: Britain’s Motoring Story to discover the evolution of motoring in the UK. Or get stuck into their new Stop, Look and Listen trail. Plus, don’t miss the In Focus gallery Transmission, a colourful exhibition by French artist Alan Reullier, showcasing the artistry of classic car design.
Continuing the theme of motoring, step back in time as you sit in the driver’s seat of cars from your past in interactive attraction, We Had One of Those! The nostalgic exhibition brings together much-loved cars from the 1960s through to the 2000s, allowing visitors to sit back in the driver’s seat of cars from their past, while showing the kids what cars were like ‘back in my day’. Relive those memories of road trips from the past and make new memories to cherish forever. Plus, just next door, visitors can see stars of TV and film in Beaulieu’s On Screen Cars display, with favourites including The Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Mr Beans Mini, Smithy’s Volvo from Gavin & Stacey, The Jaguar XKR from the James Bond film Die Another Day, and stars from Doctor Who!
There’s plenty more to keep younger visitors entertained. Let imaginations run wild at Little Beaulieu, the adventure play area nestled amongst the trees. Little explorers can climb through the wooden replica of Palace House, discover hidden passageways, whizz down the zip wire and sneak through the secret bookcase, while parents can enjoy a well-earned rest in the family-friendly seating area. Then, why not add a magical extra to your autumnal adventure? Don’t forget, it’s the last chance this year to ride around the grounds in one of TV and films most famous cars, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang**.
