The Gaydon Land Rover Show will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the iconic Land Rover marque when it takes place on 7 & 8 May at the British Motor Museum. The dedicated and hugely popular show will once again showcase hundreds of Land Rovers including Defenders, Series 1 – 3, Discovery’s and Range Rovers from 1948 to the present day. Now in its ninth year, it is one of the biggest days in the calendar for Land Rover fans and families.

The Jaguar Land Rover Experience will be returning to the show with their daunting obstacles to showcase the technology and capabilities of the Land Rover and Range Rover models. There will also be the chance for visitors to ride in one of the new Defenders over the various obstacles and see what they can really do.

At the centre of the show will be the Arena where Dave Barker will lead an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team, providing live commentary and inviting owners, restorers, club members and enthusiasts to share their stories. On the Monday, there will be a special tribute to the 1948 Motor Shows; a milestone year where the Land Rover was announced along with the Morris Minor and the Jaguar XK120.

Families will enjoy the ‘Mini Me’ kids trial on the Monday with mini vintage and modern Land Rovers touring around the show arena. Children are invited to come along and display their ‘Mini Me’ Land Rover vehicles with all Miniatures welcome. There will also be live music from vintage singing trios ‘My Favourite Things’ and ‘The Barn-Ettes’ on the Monday.

Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum stated “The Land Rover Show is the only show where you will find the number one pre-production Land Rover ‘HUE 166’ or ‘Huey’ as its affectionately known. The show is a great two-day celebration of the 75th anniversary of this iconic marque and a fantastic day out for all the family with displays, live music, parades, and club celebrations”.

Those looking for much sought-after spare parts can browse for merchandise and vehicle parts in the trade area. The Museum and Collections Centre will also be open where visitors can view the wide range of Land Rovers in the collection.

Camping in the grounds is also available on the Sunday evening for those wanting to make a weekend of it in a motorhome, tent or caravan and enjoy the great atmosphere.

Anyone wishing to park their Land Rover as part of the show displays can do so online for just £9. This includes entry to the show for the driver and one passenger for the weekend. Additional tickets are available to purchase if extra passengers are required. Advance ticket prices are £14.50 per adult, £9 per child (5-16 years), Under 5 free, £12.50 per concession and £40 for a family. Camping is just £25 per pitch when booked in advance.
