Twenty-one-year-old Zander Miller from Verwood has organised several large car meets across the south, all boasting some of the finest vehicles on the road.
Zander has become an inspiring young car enthusiast and entrepreneur who has organised large scale supercar events. He established a ‘South Coast Super Car Club’ which originally arose from his interest in cars and photography.
His idea for South Coast Supercar Club, which now has nearly 300 members, and Aperta Events, an events management business, started with an Instagram account.
Zander Miller says, “It was both an honour and a privilege to be named the recipient of the Young Pioneer of the Year Award. I am deeply grateful for this recognition and it inspires me to continue pushing the boundaries in the world of automotive events.”
The award comes from Beaulieu 100, a car club of motoring enthusiasts, collectors and specialists that supports the work of the National Motor Museum. Each year Beaulieu 100 present a Young Pioneer Award following a member vote. This year’s award was presented at the club’s annual dinner at the Royal Automobile Club in London.
Zander Miller’s journey into the automotive world started at school where he turned his curiosity about cars and a keen interest in photography to quickly establish a thriving community of car enthusiasts. Driven by his sheer passion for cars, Zander founded the South Coast Supercar Club (SCSC) at just 18. The club has since grown into a prestigious organisation, now boasting over 350 high-net-worth members and hosting exclusive events across the south coast of England.
His breakthrough came when Clayesmore School, aware of his club’s success, encouraged him to host an event on school grounds, starting the Clayesmore Classic & Supercar Sunday. In just three years, the event went from a modest start of 160 exhibitors and 1,000 attendees to an extraordinary turnout of 700 cars and over 6,000 people. In 2024 a large amount of funds was raised for multiple children’s charities thanks to the help of Sporting Bears Car Club.
Despite having no formal business background, Zander founded Aperta Events to manage rapid growth and ensure inclusivity. This innovative events company brings multiple car clubs together, creating inclusive experiences that allow a wider audience to appreciate supercars and classic vehicles.
