Ginetta renews association with Millers Oils, for GT4 SuperCup

13th December 2019

Ginetta renews its partnership with Millers Oil for the GT4 SuperCup ahead of the 2020 race season.

Ginetta says that it is delighted to confirm that it has recently renewed its partnership with Millers Oils for the second year running, which will see the leading oil blender remain the technical partner of Ginetta, and the title sponsor of the 2020 Ginetta GT4 SuperCup.

The 2019 season marked Ginetta’s first year where Millers Oils became their technical partner, and what a season it was with a range of talented drivers putting on a show for trackside crowds as well as ITV4 television audiences.

The GT4 SuperCup is a single make race series using the fabulous Ginetta G55 car. Strict regulations – including sealed engines, gearboxes and differentials – ensure that all competing cars are identical.

Highly regarded as a stepping stone to professional motorsport, the series’ first started in 2008 and has grown in stature over the past decade, with a multitude of drivers rising through its ranks as they progressed up the motorsport ladder.

Ashley Gallagher, Ginetta Motorsport Manager: “It’s been a brilliant season of racing in the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup, enhancing its status as one of the most exciting and competitive series in the UK.

All our inhouse championships have thrived this year and put on a fantastic show for the trackside crowds and television audiences alike. With our focus on fair competition in equal machinery, we’ve enjoyed characteristically close, competitive Ginetta racing throughout the year.”

Talking about the renewal of this exciting partnership, Millers Oils’ Managing Director, Tony Lowe said: “Our first year as technical partner of Ginetta’ s has been action-packed. Being part of such a thriving event has been a fantastic opportunity for us, and we’re excited to build on this throughout the 2020 race season. We wish all those taking part in a Ginetta Championship the best of luck and look forward to sharing more insight as the technical partner”.

Introducing Ginetta Tech by Millers Oils

Ginetta Tech by Millers Oils is a new bespoke lubricant range specifically formulated for Ginetta vehicles. The high-performance oil is used as the first fill and mandatory lubricant for all drivers competing across Ginetta championships.

The new range has been engineered to enable the highest levels of track performance, with engine oil benefits including a significant reduction in friction and reduced component wear promoting longer engine life. Ginetta Tech by Millers Oils, engine oil also works to reduce heat production, increase power output and torque while improving reliability and energy efficiency.

With lubricants orange in colour to reflect Ginetta’s corporate identity, the specially formulated oils include Ginetta Tech by Millers Oils 0w-30 and 10w-60 engine oils, Ginetta Tech 75w-90 Gear Oil and Limited Slip Gear Oils, and a 300 Plus Motorsport Brake Fluid.

Drivers and teams interested in competing in Ginetta competition in 2020 are recommended to get in touch with Steph Bush (Championship Manager) via steph.bush@ginetta.com, or Ashley Gallagher (Motorsport Manager) via ashley.gallagher@ginetta.com.
