British Motor Museum Quiz Night on Tuesday 12th November

22nd October 2024

Get your brains into gear for the British Motor Museum Quiz Night, to be held on Tuesday 12th November 2024…

They tell us:

(Photographs and all words from The British Motor Museum).

The British Motor Museum Quiz Night is back by popular demand, returning on Tuesday 12 November. The brain teasing, fun filled evening will once again be led by special guest Danny Hopkins (photograph below), Editor of Practical Classics Magazine!

Teams of up to 6 can come along to put their general (and motoring!) knowledge to the test. There will be 5 rounds of questions, including a fact-finding mission in the Museum, general knowledge, music and picture rounds.

The evening kicks off with some time to explore the Museum’s main collection from 5.30pm, with the bar opening at 6:30pm. Round one involves a scavenger hunt around the Museum to seek out answers amongst the collection, with the interim reward of a two-course supper served at the end of the round at 7pm.  The rest of the rounds will take place in the Sky Suite, and the evening of knowledge-testing trivia will end at 9pm with the winning team receiving a cash prize!

Danny Hopkins said, “We’re back, so get ready to assemble your team and test your knowledge! Does life get any better than sitting in a room full of petrolheads, drinking beer and eating delicious food, whilst talking about cars?!”

Catherine Boxall, Curator at the British Motor Museum said “Our previous Quiz Nights have always been a brilliant evening and great fun! You don’t need to be a classic car buff to win – but it certainly won’t hurt!”

All proceeds of the event go towards the vital work of the registered charity British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. Tickets cost £18 each which includes a 2-course supper. Discounts are offered for Members. Pre-booking for all those attending is essential. There is a maximum of six people per team. As this event is outside normal Museum opening hours Annual Passes are not valid. Limited places available so early booking is advised.

Our well-respected contributors live and breathe motor cars; aren’t we lucky?

Contributors to the site include talented, highly-respected people (so they tell me) on the hallowed membership list of the Guild of Motoring Writers, and from the similarly well thought-of Western Group of Motoring Writers. In addition there are valued contributions from other knowledgeable and capable motoring writers who have something useful to say about all aspects of driving and running vehicles in the 21st Century. All of our team are passionate about motor cars!
