Young classic car restorer and round-the-world motorcyclist scoop Beaulieu 100 Awards

8th December 2025

Beaulieu tells us:

(Photograph and all words from Beaulieu).

A young classic car restorer who set up a film production company and TV channel to inspire the next generation and a motorcyclist who rode around the world were two winners of the Beaulieu 100 awards at the annual dinner.  The awards were presented by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu Patron and Founder of Beaulieu 100.

Ethan Blake-Jones (pictured above with Lord Montagu) of Paddock Speed Shop won the Beaulieu 100 Young Pioneer Award. He has created a TV show that encourages a “Gen Z“ audience to drive classics, and to show how with enthusiasm and passion most problems and classic cars can be maintained and fixed.

Jon Murden, Chief Executive of the National Motor Museum said, “Ethan exemplifies dedication, hard work and is making a noteworthy impact in their respective field. He demonstrates innovation, creativity, and a passion for excellence, and has set a high standard, making a name in the motoring world. He is to be congratulated for actively educating and encouraging the next generation of motoring enthusiasts.”

Beaulieu One Hundred Personality of the Year Award was given to inspirational round-the-world motorcyclist Elspeth Beard. This award celebrates remarkable achievement and positive role models who help to enthuse and educate others in understanding and enjoying motoring heritage.

Jon Murden says, “Elspeth embodies the spirit of perseverance, has broken barriers, and her accomplishments have paved the way for women in motorcycling and adventure travel.”

Also, an award-winning architect, in the early 1980s Elspeth became the first British woman to ride a motorcycle around the world. At just 23 years old, she set off solo around the world on her BMW R60/6 — no GPS, no phone, and no social media.

The awards come from Beaulieu 100, a group of motoring enthusiasts, collectors and specialists that support the work of the National Motor Museum. Each year Beaulieu 100 present a Young Pioneer Award and Personality of the Year. This year’s awards were presented at the club’s annual dinner at the Domus at Beaulieu on Saturday 29th November.
