Travelling abroad – especially on motorways…

Author/Source: Kim Henson

18th January 2019

Travelling abroad with your car? It pays to study to rules and procedures applicable in each country…

…Kim Henson reports.

For many people, travelling abroad with their car is a big adventure, and can be daunting.

However, there is much you can do before your trip to learn about the procedures, rules and regulations applicable in the various countries through which you may be driving, and in particular to learn more about the motorways in those countries. It is wise to study the rules, toll information and speed limits, requirements, etc, BEFORE you depart from UK shores. A little pre-planning may save you time, money and hassle.

This link (provided by the tyre company Oponeo.co.uk) will take you to a feature packed with information that hopefully will inform and help you. For example, the image above shows approximate journey times to destinations across Europe. Please click HERE for more information.

Good luck on you travels – and enjoy the journey!

Our well-respected contributors live and breathe motor cars; aren’t we lucky?

Contributors to the site include talented, highly-respected people (so they tell me) on the hallowed membership list of the Guild of Motoring Writers, and from the similarly well thought-of Western Group of Motoring Writers. In addition there are valued contributions from other knowledgeable and capable motoring writers who have something useful to say about all aspects of driving and running vehicles in the 21st Century. All of our team are passionate about motor cars!
