Suzuki takes second place for reliability in the 2022 Honest John Satisfaction Index

30th December 2022

Suzuki awarded second place (out of 29) for reliability in the Honest John Satisfaction Survey for 2022…

  • Suzuki ranked second most reliable manufacturer based on feedback of more than 6,000 customers.

They tell us:

Suzuki GB PLC are pleased to annouce the results of the Honest John Satisfaction Index 2022, based on the feedback of more than 6,000 car owners, Suzuki was ranked as the second most reliable manufacturer out of a total of 29.

Owners were asked to rate their cars in a variety of important areas, with drivers scoring them for reliability, ride comfort, fuel economy, practicality and performance. Owners also ranked their cars for build quality, ease of use, safety and repair costs. The Swift was the standout performer for Suzuki in this year’s Index, with drivers giving high scores for build quality and reliability whilst the Vitara was also praised as a dependable SUV.

Dan Powell, Senior Editor at HonestJohn.co.uk, said: “Suzuki has earned one of its strongest ever results in the Honest John Satisfaction Index, with owners giving the Japanese car brand exceptionally high ratings for build quality and reliability.

Suzuki secured an average of 9.75 out of 10 for reliability, which is the second highest score in this year’s Index. Suzuki is clearly committed to producing high quality and dependable cars that its owners can trust.”

Following the strong result this summer in the UK Customer Satisfaction Index with Suzuki rated the top automotive brand, the Honest John Satisfaction Index really emphasises how our customers feel about Suzuki as a brand and we’re really proud to receive this result heading into 2023.

Wheels-Alive adds: “9.75 out of 10 is an excellent score, and reinforces what we have been hearing from buyers and motor trade contacts about Suzuki’s consistently good dependability. In case you are wondering, in terms of the ‘Most Reliable Car Brands’, Suzuki came second only to Lexus, which in the 2022 Honest John Satisfaction Index scored 9.89 out of 10 – the highest ever score recorded in the history of the Satisfaction Index.”
