John H. Haynes OBE, creator of Haynes Manuals and founder of Haynes Publishing Group, passes away…

Author/Source: Kim Henson

11th February 2019

John H. Haynes, OBE, 25th March 1938 to 8th February 2019.

Legendary creator and publisher of technical motoring books, John H. Haynes OBE, will be sadly missed by countless do-it-yourself enthusiasts and mechanics he has helped over many decades…

A great and enthusiastic man, passionate about what he did and who helped so many motorists with his innovative books, and who will be sadly missed…

Our well-respected contributors live and breathe motor cars; aren’t we lucky?

Contributors to the site include talented, highly-respected people (so they tell me) on the hallowed membership list of the Guild of Motoring Writers, and from the similarly well thought-of Western Group of Motoring Writers. In addition there are valued contributions from other knowledgeable and capable motoring writers who have something useful to say about all aspects of driving and running vehicles in the 21st Century. All of our team are passionate about motor cars!
