Getting More Enjoyment and Information from ‘Wheels-Alive’

Author/Source: Kim Henson

3rd December 2015

Kim Henson advises…

If you have just discovered ‘Wheels-Alive’, you may be interested to know that there is a wealth of information within the site, in addition to the most recent features, which are listed on the ‘Home’ page.

While of course this website does cover in-depth analysis and driving of new cars, that’s only one aspect of it, since the site also incorporates so much more – notably including ‘Motoring for Fun’, ‘Classics’ of all types, technical aspects, you name it…

SEARCHING

If you are looking for articles on specific makes or models of vehicle, our ‘search’ facility operates within individual categories as well as across the site as a whole.

Normal accepted ‘search’ criteria apply, in that if you are searching using multiple words, for best results these should be enclosed in quotation marks. For example, if you are searching for articles on Land Rover, to get the most appropriate results type in “Land Rover”, rather than Land Rover.

HEADINGS AND THEIR DROP-DOWN MENUS

At the top of our Home Page you will see a number of main headings across the page. These give general clues to the types of features contained within each category, but for many of these headings, further drop-down menus will open up if you ‘hover’ your mouse over each main heading in turn. These will enable you to access features on a variety of subjects included within the various sub-headings.

This approach applies to the following main headings:

‘NEW CARS’

Two drop-down menu sub-headings take you to ‘FIRST IMPRESSIONS’ and ‘ROAD TESTS’.

‘CLASSICS’

Four drop-down menu sub-headings take you to ‘CLASSIC PROFILES’, ‘CLASSIC DRIVING IMPRESSIONS’, ‘CLASSICS INFORMATION’ and ‘EVENTS AND DAYS OUT’.

‘TECHNICAL’

Two drop-down menu sub-headings take you to ‘GRUMPY OLD MECHANIC’ and ‘KIM’S TIPS’.

‘FEATURES’

Two drop-down menu sub-headings take you to ‘VISITS’ and ‘TRACK DAYS’.

Two drop-down menu sub-headings take you to ‘ABOUT WHEELS-ALIVE’ and ‘USEFUL LINKS’.

I hope that the above information helps you to get more from your visit(s) to Wheels-Alive. Thanks for visiting our website!

Our well-respected contributors live and breathe motor cars; aren’t we lucky?

Contributors to the site include talented, highly-respected people (so they tell me) on the hallowed membership list of the Guild of Motoring Writers, and from the similarly well thought-of Western Group of Motoring Writers. In addition there are valued contributions from other knowledgeable and capable motoring writers who have something useful to say about all aspects of driving and running vehicles in the 21st Century. All of our team are passionate about motor cars!
