Enjoy ‘stay at home’ activities with the British Motor Museum!

18th May 2020

British Motor Museum offers entertaining and educational activities during these ‘stay at home’ times…

Despite the restrictions associated with the coronavirus and having to temporarily close the Museum, the British Motor Museum has organised a range of ‘stay at home’ activities for families to enjoy in the safety of their own homes.

The activities were originally planned for May half term and ‘Designer Week’ but are available now until 31 May so families have more time to enjoy them. There are quizzes, puzzles, cooking and crafts. There are also plenty of awesome ‘stay at home science’ from the legendary Professor Pumpkin and Dr Pickle. Children can find out how to make planets from milk, use grape juice as an indicator and learn how to make ice cream!

Families are encouraged to share photographs of their stay at home activities and email them to the British Motor Museum who will share some of their favourites on social media.

Please email photographs to enquiries@britishmotormusueum.co.uk

Emma Rawlinson, Life Long Learning Officer at the British Motor Museum said “During these challenging times we still want to offer our enthusiastic family visitors a range of fantastic activities which they can do online. We hope families will enjoy taking part in them and we look forward to seeing photographs of their science experiments!”

There is no charge to take part but donations would be welcomed. Simply visit the website at https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/whats-on/tag/family

Our well-respected contributors live and breathe motor cars; aren’t we lucky?

Contributors to the site include talented, highly-respected people (so they tell me) on the hallowed membership list of the Guild of Motoring Writers, and from the similarly well thought-of Western Group of Motoring Writers. In addition there are valued contributions from other knowledgeable and capable motoring writers who have something useful to say about all aspects of driving and running vehicles in the 21st Century. All of our team are passionate about motor cars!
