Make the most of the school holidays without stretching your budget thanks to the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme. Until the 2nd September , Beaulieu is passing the temporary VAT reduction on to its visitors so you can save on your general admission tickets and enjoy the perfect together day for less.
Start your summer day out at Beaulieu with a visit to some familiar favourites, as Disney and Pixar’s Cars race back to Beaulieu in a brand-new 20th anniversary display! Ka-Chow! Back by popular demand, an exciting new display area has been opened with life-size models of Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm and Finn McMissile, along with a colourful collection of themed props. Fans also have the chance to pose proudly on the winner’s podium alongside the Piston Cup, and for those thrill seekers, a brand-new racing game experience will be available to book on arrival.
Keep an eye out around the attraction as Horrible Histories® bring the Vile Victorians to Beaulieu! Dive into the grubbiest, grimiest and ghastliest era of them all. Explore fascinating motoring firsts, uncover the unusual jobs that kept the Beaulieu estate running, and learn about curious superstitions, peculiar foods, and extraordinary fashions from the Victorian era. Packed with fun facts, interactive stations and remarkable stories, there’s plenty for the whole family to discover.
Follow the trail as it takes you down to Palace House, a stately home filled with character, charm and family treasures, where you will meet friendly living history characters ready to welcome you inside. With refurbished rooms on the former private side to see, including the recently opened Circus Room, there is so much to see and learn about the Montagu family. Plus, on the lawns of the house and Abbey Cloister, observe the timeless artistry of falconry in action by none other than Lord Montagu’s falconer. Watch his majestic birds gracefully soar across the sky and speak to him about the history of falconry on the estate.
Head into the National Motor Museum to see new exhibition Driven: Britain’s Motoring Story. Taking you on a journey through motoring history in Britain, discover vibrant new displays and interactive elements exploring the story of motoring in the UK. From daring early pioneers to the iconic cars, people and moments that changed everyday life forever, there is plenty to uncover.
Also revving back for summer are magnificent motoring parades, featuring an exciting line-up of vehicles from the National Motor Museum collection. From familiar favourites including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Outspan Orange, to those you may not have seen before, you can enjoy watching the vehicles rumble into life and take on their demonstration laps around the arena.*
If the star cars in the parades leave you wanting more, be sure to visit On Screen Cars, where some of the most iconic vehicles from film and television are on display. Get up close to Mr Bean’s Mini, the Jaguar XKR from the James Bond film Die Another Day, and the famous ‘flying’ Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
The collection has also welcomed a new arrival as Peter Kay’s Fiat 500L from the award-winning comedy Car Share goes on display. Finished in its recognisable red, the Fiat became a beloved character in its own right throughout the show’s two series and finale specials. Best of all, it’s the genuine production vehicle used during filming, making it a must-see for fans.
Why not add a touch of movie magic to your summer day out by booking a memorable family ride in either Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or Mr Toad’s car from Terry Jones’ The Wind in the Willows. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience the whole family will treasure.**
