Revamped and ready – Beaulieu’s Brabazon Restaurant & Coffee Shop…

They tell us:

(All words and images from Beaulieu).

Visitors to the Beaulieu attraction, home to the National Motor Museum, can now enjoy a beautifully refurbished Brabazon Restaurant & Coffee Shop as part of their visit.

The £920,000 project was completed in early April, following a five-month phased programme of works to overhaul the main coffee shop and restaurant used by over 300,000 visitors each year.

The new fresh spaces feature a mixture of contemporary seating, lighting and planting, providing a more formal restaurant area for those wanting to enjoy a hot or cold meal, as well as an informal coffee shop area with more relaxed seating, perfect for enjoying a hot drink and a sumptuous cake. As part of the changes, the Brabazon is now also proud to be serving the Costa range of drinks.

The indoor space flows into a new outdoor covered terrace providing additional seating for guests including four-legged friends, with a new additional accessible entrance and views over the National Motor Museum arena.

By night the Brabazon’s space is flexible and can be transformed into a combined area for formal dinners and functions, perfect for charity gala evenings and Christmas parties.

Head of Visitor Experience & Operations, Jon Tee said: “We are delighted to unveil the newly refurbished Brabazon Restaurant & Coffee Shop, where every detail has been meticulously crafted to provide our visitors with a first-class dining experience that complements their day out at Beaulieu. Feedback from the first weeks of opening have been very positive from both our guest and the hospitality team.”

The Brabazon is operated by Restaurant Associates on behalf of Beaulieu, who specialise in bringing hospitality to heritage venues across the UK. The dedicated team at Beaulieu prides itself in providing excellent food, drink and service, whether that is for the day visitor, corporate function or wedding guests.

The project was managed by Hampshire-based REKAN Construction Consultants, who worked with designers HPW Architecture Ltd and A.D (Southern) Ltd across three phases of work, carefully planned to minimise the disruption to visitors while Beaulieu remained open.

The refurbishment is part of an ongoing programme of works being undertaken to enhance the visitor experience at Beaulieu. Coming shortly in May will be the opening of a new Fairy & Dragon willow sculpture trail, plus a new display in the National Motor Museum, Streets Ahead, depicting a typical high street from the decades following the Second World War including shops and vehicles.

Visitors to Beaulieu can access the Brabazon Restaurant & Coffee Shop as part of their day out which also includes the National Motor Museum, Palace House and gardens, Beaulieu Abbey, World of Top Gear and for the younger visitor, the adventure play area, Little Beaulieu. Just one ticket provides a marvellous day out that can be enjoyed together.
