BBC Top Gear’s ‘The Stig’ confirmed as special guest at Beaulieu Supercar Weekend

14th June 2024

Who’s in that driving seat? The Stig confirmed as special guest for the Beaulieu Supercar Weekend…

Beaulieu tells us:

(Image and all words from Beaulieu).

The mysterious, helmet-wearing figure, The Stig from BBC’s Top Gear, is set to make an appearance at Beaulieu Supercar Weekend on 3rd and 4th August and returns to the Demonstration Run to show off some impressive driving skills.

The Demonstration Runs are always a fan favourite for those attending one of the biggest supercar shows on the South Coast as they get to witness some of the most desirable supercars in action as their acceleration, handling and braking are showcased along Beaulieu’s Chestnut Avenue. This gripping test of man and machine never fails to gather a crowd, and the sights and sounds offer an unmissable experience. Delighted fans will have the opportunity to take their own photographs as part of a free meet and greet with The Stig over the course of the two-day event.

Supercar enthusiasts will be thrilled to learn that the extraordinary Koenigsegg Agera S ‘Green Goblin’ will be making an appearance at this year’s show. Generating 1,030 BHP and 811 lb-ft of torque, this rare gem, one of only five built, is bound to attract attention from admiring spectators on the lawns of Palace House, which will be home to a Prestige & Hypercar display this year.

Also taking its place among the dazzling line-up is a Pagani Huayra Roadster, the last one of only one hundred built, as well as a striking Prodrive P25, a recreation of the iconic Subura Impreza and one of only twenty five in existence. This four wheel drive icon will be sure to attract fans of rally driving.

All manner of astonishing supercars* will be filling the showground whilst drivers with eligible vehicles are able to relax and enjoy hospitality in the Drivers Marquee sponsored by NFU Mutual New Forest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth. Supercars will range from Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis and McLarens, to Porsches, TVRs, Lotus and Aston Martins. Amongst the amazing motors booked to attend are examples of the Honda NSX, Ultima GTR, Noble M600, Lotus Emira, Ford GT40, Audi R8, TVR Sagaris and many more.

Long-standing supporter of Supercar Weekend, Brookspeed, will be showcasing a stellar collection of supercars, including McLaren, Porsche and even a Daytona Cobra to name a few. Guests can look forward to an incredible selection of both road and race cars.

Always a favourite with the crowds, the Supercar Sound-off is an opportunity for supercar owners to demonstrate the roar of their car’s engine as they compete for the loudest cheer. The Sound-off will be also be shown on the big screen, which is sponsored by Apogee.

Car club displays always play a major role in the show, and this year, owners of a wide variety of supercars will drive their prized vehicles into the Beaulieu parkland where they can catch up and admire each other’s cars. Additionally, Sporting Bears will be back raising essential funds for a variety of children’s charities. Raffle tickets will be available for the chance to win a seat in their members’ supercars in the exhilarating Demonstration Runs.

Attendees to Beaulieu’s Supercar Weekend will also be able to enjoy all that Beaulieu has to offer. Visit the award-winning National Motor Museum for an outstanding collection of motoring memorabilia as well as the popular World of Top Gear. Make sure to stroll around the medieval Beaulieu Abbey and grounds and gardens, plus explore the beautiful Palace House, the ancestral home of the Montagu family.

* Please note: Not all cars mentioned will be in attendance on both days of the show. Vehicle line-up subject to change.
